Just before we left for Seaford.......a DIY moment...

....my dear hubby worked in the wind and the rain, yes lots of rain, to change our garden from this....remember this from Summer 2008?
Looked like and herd of elephants had passed through the garden!

Bit by bit the trees disappeared off to the tip. Then a year passed due to work, poor weather the usual. Then at the end of June Hubby ordered some fence panels, then thought about some decking, then of course the playhouse had to be moved to the OPPOSITE side of the garden then on and on, with plenty of rain along the way (but he was prepared to work with a gazebo! Got to admire him for that.....

Playhouse is moved across the garden and the fencing has started to go up. Note the nice weather!

.....to this! Since taking this picture we have planted small fruit trees which will trail along the fence and there are already some apples on them. We have added grass seed which is proving to be more of a challenge than the rest of the garden put together!

Furniture shuffling on the decking, which is a nice sun trap and we have been meaning to do this decking for years! We made it big enough to fit an average small gazebo on plus the table and quite a few chairs.

Got Tiger's approval!

So of course we had to use this! Photo by Sophie.

Admiring ones work, with relief too. The sun shone we used it for two days and then it rained for most of July! Love the shorts hubby! So, of course the British weather intervened and it has rained nearly everyday ever since the decking was finished. So we disappeared off to Seaford!
